Harford Women's Soccer Fires 28 Shots But Can't Get Past D-III No. 1 Rockville; Falls 1-0

ROCKVILLE, Md.—The Harford women's soccer team pestered Division-III No. 1 Montgomery College-Rockville with 28 shots, 13 of them on goal, but couldn't sneak one past as the Knights (10-3, 6-1 MDJUCO) edged the Fighting Owls (12-2, 6-1 MDJUCO), 1-0 on Tuesday in Rockville, Md.

Freshman Erin Lynn (Fallston, Md./Fallston) drew a yellow card at the 32:00 mark, and just 1:30 later, the Knights would get on the board as Lilian Trujillo took a pass from McKenna Smet and beat freshman keeper Cierra Stinson (Parkville, Md./Mercy) to the corner at the 33:30 mark.

Head coach Jason Muffoletto would draw a second card for the Owls at the final minute of the first half, while Julie Bowers would be cautioned at the 58:00 mark.

Harford outshot the Knights 28-9 and held a 5-2 advantage on corner kicks, while Ana Santiago totaled 18 saves for Rockville in 90:00 and Stinson tallied three for the Owls.

The Fighting Owls return to action on Saturday when they host Gloucester at 12:00 p.m. at Harford Stadium.
