LA PLATA, Md. - The Harford golf team kick started the 2015 campaign with a third place finish at the Southern Maryland Invitational. 

Freshman Mike Filler finished tied for third with an 82 to lead the Fighting Owls. Sophomore Ricky Scheeler and freshman Eric Spalt tied for fifth with an 85. 

Harford finished with a four-man total of 358, behins CSM's 338 and Hagerstown's 345, but ahead of Allegany's 360 and Anne Arundel's 374.

Jacob Labe (106) and Nick Conway (108) rounded out the Fighting Owls in the event. Harford hosts the Harford Invitational on Thursday, March 26 at noon.
