Harford Varsity Baseball Field

The Harford Varsity Baseball Field is the home of the Fighting Owls baseball team. The field was updated in 2014 by AstroTurf. The company installed AstroTurf Extreme Turf, the same turf at NCAA Division I schools like The Ohio State University, University of Indiana, Saint Joe's University and national powerhouse, Vanderbilt. The field includes a chocolate brown infield (where dirt is normally) with the grass having different shades to make it look like it was freshly mowed and striped. The field also features new fencing, including 'The Blue Monster', a 20-foot wall in left field, part of a unique design created by head coach Tom Eller.

The facility also features an upgrade with new in-ground dugouts, a brick backstop and a new batting cage. Fans will enjoy the new grandstands behind home plate with a state-of-the-art press box that was installed in the summer of 2015. There is additional bleacher seating down the left and right field lines with a small pavilion with picnic tables located on the first-base side bleachers.
