ARNOLD, Md.—The Harford women's basketball team lost a heartbreaker, 65-47, to Anne Arundel on Wednesday night in Arnold, Md.

After trailing by two points, 24-22, after the first half, the Fighting Owls (0-5, 0-1 MDJUCO) fell behind by almost 10 points, but battled back only to have the Pioneers pull away in the last five minutes to earn the 65-47 win.

Freshman Sarah Spalt (Forest Hill, Md./Fallston) led the Owls with 18 points and five rebounds, while freshman Kiara Reeves (Aberdeen, Md./C. Milton Wright) tallied four points and 12 boards.

Katie Beall led the way for Anne Arundel with 17 points, while Jade Hamilton added another 13 in the win.

The Fighting Owls return to action on Monday, Nov. 24 when they host Catholic in an 8:00 p.m. contest at Susquehanna Center.
