BEL AIR, Md. - The Harford women's basketball team (3-5, 1-3) lost its third MDJUCO contest of the season in a 69-61 loss to Howard on Monday. The Fighting Owls shot just 28.8 percent from the floor and were outrebounded 55-48.

Tiffany Taylor led all scorers with 19 points and 11 rebounds. She also handed out six assists in the comeback effort, but the Fighting Owls came up short.

After Harford jumped out to a quick 4-0 lead, Howard reversed the field and led by as many as 11 in the first half. The Fighting Owls tied the score at 48-48 midway through the second half and took a 55-54 lead on a pair of freebies by Taylor with 6:38 remaining, but the Dragons outscored Harford 15-5 the rest of the way.

Amanda Mackey scored eight points and pulled in 10 rebounds, while Aniya Rolle added 16 points and eight boards. Tiff Smith scored 11 while collecting six caroms.

The Fighting Owls welcome Salem to the Susquehanna Center in a rescheduled contest on Wednesday at 5 p.m.
