BEL AIR, Md. - The Harford men's soccer team (4-3-1, 1-3-1) lost its first home game of the season on Friday in a 4-0 contest against Howard (5-2-1, 3-0-1). The Dragons scored twice in the first half and twice after intermission.
Howard got on the board midway through the first. After a nifty flip throw into the box, a powerful shot snuck past the outstretched arms of goalkeeper George Tsakiris. Moments later, Howard added to their lead. Tsakiris was in perfect place to stop a bicycle kick, and he managed to somehow stop the the second attempt, but he had virtually no chance at the third try, giving the Dragons a 2-0 halftime lead.
The second half was dominated by Howard, as the club was able to add two more goals. The Fighting Owls return to host the second game of a double header on Tuesday against Essex at 6 p.m.
