Point Guard's 17 Assists 'Key' Victory, 87-56

Box Score
ABERDEEN, Md. - Freshman point guard Shelby Key paced the Harford women's basketball team to victory with a career-best 17 assists in an 87-56 win over Anne Arundel at home on Friday.

Key routinely drove the lane and found open teammates cutting to the hoop when the Pioneer defense collapsed on her. She handed out five assists in the first half, as the Fighting Owls built a 46-29 lead. She assisted on 11 of the team's 17 second-half baskets for the amazing helper total.

Her giving ways in this holiday season led to five different players totaling double figures in the win. Kourtney Orr netted a career-high 20 points on 8-of-13 shooting to lead all scorers. Alannah Galloway added 13 while Kebrina Johnson chipped in with 11. Both Rachel Cocoros and Kam Owens scored 10 points in the win.

Key added eight points, just missing her first career double-double. The Fighting Owls shot 46.2 percent and held Anne Arundel to just 28.8 percent.

Harford is back on the hardwood on Monday, playing host to Delaware County at 6:15 p.m. The Fighting Owls already defeated DelCo, 79-43 earlier this season.
