FREDERICK, Md. - One of the most successful women's basketball seasons of the 2000s came to an end in the opening round of the conference tournament on Tuesday. The No. 13 Fighting Owls were ousted by No. 4 Frederick, 95-33.

Ashley Sammons earned 10 victories in the 2010-11 season, the second-largest win total since the 2000-2001 campaign.
In her final game as a Fighting Owl, sophomore
Kelly Smith led the team in scoring for the first time in her career. The shooting guard netted 12 points in the loss.
Tiff Smith added nine points and eight rebounds.
Frederick was led by Phyllis Martin's 50 points. She shot 16-of-31 from the floor, including six 3-pointers, and 12-of-13 from the line.
