CARNEY'S POINT, N.J. - The Harford softball team improved to 4-7 with its fourth consecutive win in a doubleheader sweep at Salem on Tuesday. The Fighting Owls won 17-3 and 29-9.
Harford 17, Salem 3
After spotting the Oaks three runs in the first inning, the Fighting Owls stormed back to score the final 17 runs of the first game.
Rachael Lange tossed a complete game three hitter with four strikeouts.
Sam Stiles slugged her third home run in as many games with a two-run shot in the third inning of the win.
Harford 29, Salem 9
Stiles started the game on the mound and allowed just one run in two innings.
Jess Kraft went 3-for-5, scoring five runs.
The softball team returns home to face Rockville on Wednesday at 3 p.m.
