Baseball Stops Dundalk, 15-2

BEL AIR, Md. - The Harford baseball team (19-6) took down the Dundalk Lions on Thursday night, 15-2 in seven innings. The Fighting Owls collected 11 hits, including three doubles and a home run, but were also helped out by eight Dundalk errors in the victory.

The Fighting Owls improve to 14-1 at home and 4-2 in conference play with the big win. Eight starters notched at least one hit, while three players collected a pair. Alex Riley and Jonathan Castro earned two hits at the top of the order, while Kyle Lindsey went 2-for-2 and reached base safely all four times he came to the plate. scoring twice and knocking in two more.

On the mound, Corey Taylor earned his third victory of the year and upped his team-high strikeout total to 41 with nine K's. Dom Vattuone tossed two innings of relief, allowing just one hit, and Jason Seitler tossed one inning striking out one.

Christian Wolfe put the cherry on top of the win with a three-run home run to deep right center field in the sixth inning.

After going in order in the first inning, Harford sent 10 batters to the plate in the second, scoring five times, and 11 batters in the third, scoring six times.

The Fighting Owls travel to Rockville on Saturday for a doubleheader.
