BEL AIR, Md. - The Harford baseball team set a new school record with its 34th victory on Tuesday in a home doubleheader sweep over conference and regional foe Chesapeake. The Fighting Owls claimed both games by a score of 12-2 in five innings.
The 34 wins eclipses last year's total of 33 wins when the Fighting Owls went 33-16. This year's squad currently sits at 34-8 with 10 regular season contests remaining before the Region XX Tournament.
The victories over the Skipjacks also guarantees Harford a top two seed, one that would give the Fighting Owls a bye into the 'final four' round of next months playoffs.
Sophomores
Simon Beloff and
Chrisitan Wolfe went a combined 8-for-10 with three home runs, nine RBIs and eight hits in the pair of wins.
