BALTIMORE - The Harford baseball team (24-8, 9-4) dropped a 10-2 contest to conference-leading Catonsville on Wednesday.

The Fighting Owls committed five fielding errors in the first inning, but veteran starter Dom Vattuone limited the damage to four runs. The hole, however, was too big for the offense to overcome.

Simon Beloff continued his hot swinging with a pair of doubles in four plate appearances. James Wilson also collected a double while Jonathan Castro collected an RBI.

The Fighting Owls return for a home night contest against rival Anne Arundel on Thursday. First pitch under the lights is at 6:30 p.m.
