BOLIVIA, N.C. - The No. 25 Harford women's basketball team improved to 9-1 with a 79-58 victory over Thomasville Prep (5-8) in the first round of the Brunswick Holiday Tournament on Monday morning. The Fighting Owls held a seven-point lead at the half and cruised to the 21-point win.
Sophomore
Tiffany Taylor led all scorers with a 26-point effort, while three other Fighting Owls tallied double figures.
Shelby Key chipped in with 15 points, eight assists and six steals, while
Na'kya Keitt matched her career-high with 14 points. The nation's leading scorer
Capree Garner was held to 11 points and six steals in the win and
Kebrina Johnson had six points and 11 caroms.
The Fighting Owls continue the three-day tournament on Tuesday with a 10 a.m. contest against Cape Fear (4-2) before concluding the trip on Wednesday against Brunswick (1-2).
