BOLIVIA, N.C. - Despite trailing for a majority of the first half, the No. 25 Harford women's basketball team (10-1) earned a 58-49 victory over Cape Fear (5-3) on Tuesday in day two of the Brunswick Holiday Tournament.
Capree Garner led the Fighting Owls in scoring again, notching 17 points and six rebounds while
Tiffany Taylor tallied 16 points and six caroms in the win.
Shelby Key had nine markers and five assists for Harford.
The Fighting Owls were steady at the line, connecting on 20-of-28 free throws. Harford also won the battle on the glass, outrebounding the Sea Devils 44-35, led by
Kebrina Johnson's 13 and
Kourtney Orr's eight.
Harford finishes the holiday tournament with a 6 p.m. contest against the host school, Brunswick.
