BEL AIR, Md. - The Harford softball team (2-15) was defeated in a pair of home contests against Mercyhurst North East (12-4) on Sunday. The Fighting Owls were no-hit in the opener, losing 13-0 before falling 8-6 in game two.
In game two,
Kebrina Johnson belted a pair of home runs and the Fighting Owls brought the tying run to the plate with no outs in the final inning.
Brooke Olszewski singled to lead off the seventh, but was stranded at first base in the loss.
Johnson clubbed a two-run home run in the first to give the Fighting Owls a 2-0 lead. After trailing 6-2, she helped bring Harford back with one of the longest home runs at the Harford Sports Complex.
The Fighting Owls host Cecil on Wednesday at 3:30 p.m.
