Men's Soccer Scored Six Second-Half Goals In Rout

Box Score
FREDERICK, Md. -The Harford men's soccer team (3-2-0, 3-1-0 MD JUCO) won its third-straight conference contest with a 6-1 victory at Frederick (1-4-0, 1-3-0 MD JUCO) on Friday. The Fighting Owls scored six goals in the second half.

Sophomore Glenn Grove and feshman Jack Hadley each scored two goals. After rookie defender Ben Rushby put the Fighting Owls on the board with a nifty goal off a Dylan Tipton free kick, Hadley quickly put Harford up 3-0 with back-to-back goals. Grove answered moments later with his own consecutive tallies, putting the game out of reach at 5-0.

After the Cougars notched the scoreboard, sophomore Chris Cheelsman added the team's final tally in the 83rd minute. Despite not scoring a goal for the first time this season, MD JUCO leading scorer Saidu Sankoh earned an assist on Hadley's first goal. Tipton finished with a pair of helpers.

Freshman goalkeeper Christian Vito made four saves in his third win of the season.

The Fighting Owls return home to face Burlington on Sunday at 1 p.m.
