CARNEY'S POINT, N.J. - The Harford women's basketball team opened the 2013-14 season with an impressive 86-38 victory over Salem on Saturday. The Fighting Owls jumped out to a 20-2 start and rolled to the win.
All-American guard
Capree Garner finished with 15 points and seven steals in the victory. Freshman point guard
Ashley Smith scored 20 points after the break to tally 32 points, nine steals and eight rebounds.
Rookie forward
Connor Hanley recorded a double-double in her debut with 15 points and 11 rebounds, while
Dasha Moore also netted 15 points in her first collegiate contest.
