BEL AIR, Md. - The Harford women's basketball team (2-0) earned an 80-42 victory over Burlington in the 2013-14 home opener on Tuesday. Capree Garner netted a season-best 36 points in the win.

Harford equaled the Barons point total for the entire game in the first half, as the Fighting Owls shot 53 percent from the floor. One low spot for Harford was the 0-for-9 effort from behind the arc, marking the first time under Ashley Sammons that the team didn't net a triple.

Dasha Moore recorded a double-double with 11 points and 10 rebounds while Ashley Smith chipped in with 15 points. Garner and Chrineicia Tedder both had six steals in the win.

Harford hosts Atlantic Cape on Friday at 5 p.m.
