BEL AIR, Md. -- The Harford Baseball team (16-3, 6-0 MD JUCO) swept non-conference foe, Finger Lakes Community College (1-3) in a doubleheader to pick up their tenth and eleventh consecutive wins, 10-0 in game one and 16-6 in game 2.

The Fighting Owls were led by another outstanding performance by freshman right-hander
Cody Brittain who tossed his second one-hitter of the season. Brittain moved to 3-1 on the season, striking out four batters while walking none.
The Harford offense stayed hot, scoring 10 runs on 13 hits. Sophomore third basemen
Jerry Jerminski led the way, going 2-3 with four RBI including a double in the bottom of the sixth which plated two runs.
Harford 16, Finger Lakes 6
Freshman outfielder
Jordan Glover and sophomore infielder
Matt Petrizzi each had two hit games in the night cap. Glover went 2-5 with three RBI and a run scored. Petrizzi went 2-4 with one RBI and three runs scored.
Harford took advantage of some sloppy play in the field by the visiting Lakers in game two. The Fighting Owls were able to score 16 runs on just six hits thanks to six errors committed by Finger Lakes. Just six of the 16 runs Harford scored were earned.
Sophomore right-hander
Kyle Hurley (4-1) picked up the win, striking out six batters in 4.2 innings of work. Sophomore
Norm Donkin took the hill to earn the save after Finger Lakes pulled it to a one-run game in the fifth at 6-5. After stranding two runners in the fifth, Donkin struck out the side in the top of the sixth.
Freshman
Shane Garrett, the nation's leading hitter, went 1-2 in game two after going 2-4 in game one to extend his season opening 18-game hit streak while scoring three runs.
The Fighting Owls are back in action against Neumann JV on Wednesday at 4 PM at Harford Sports Complex.
