BEL AIR, Md. - The Harford softball team (5-6, 3-3 MD JUCO) evened its conference record with an MD JUCO sweep over CCBC Dundalk on Saturday. Harford won the opener, 7-5, and the second game, 8-5.
Hanna Ayestas went 7-for-8 on the day and
Tajae Harris hit her second home run of the season on the first pitch of the first inning, but
Abby Young was the offensive hero of the day.
With two outs in the bottom of the sixth and Harford trailing 5-4, Young belted a grand slam home run for the win.
The Fighting Owls sent 12 batters to the plate in the first inning of game one, scoring seven times.
Brittany Stein earned the win in that game, while
Erin Morrissey collected the win in the nightcap.
The Fighting Owls host CCBC Catonsville on Wednesday at 3 p.m.
