BEL AIR, Md. - Behind a 20-0 first-half Fighting Owl run and a 30-20 performance from All-American guard
Capree Garner, the Harford women's basketball team (18-5, 10-2 MD JUCO) claimed its 10th conference win in a 98-29 victory over Anne Arundel on Wednesday.
Garner nabbed a career-high 21 rebounds to go along with 31 points in the victory. She corralled 11 offensive rebounds and 10 defensive miscues for her best career rebounding effort. She added six assists and eight steals in the stat-stuffer night.
The Pioneers started the game aggressively and took a pair of early leads. With Harford leading 19-15, the Fighting Owls used a 20-0 run to put the game out of reach.
Ashley Smith added 29 points and five assists from the point guard position while
Dasha Moore finished with 12 points.
Connor Hanley chipped in with 12 points and eight boards.
The Fighting Owls host CCBC Dundalk on Feb. 6 at 8 p.m. in a pivotal MD JUCO matchup for playoff seeding.
