ROCKVILLE, Md. - The Harford women's basketball team (14-3, 6-1 MD JUCO) earned a pivotal 69-60 victory over Montgomery (11-7, 4-2 MD JUCO) in a battle for second place in the conference.

Ashley Smith totaled 20 points while Capree Garner chipped in with 19 in the road win. Smith added seven assists while Garner nabbed five steals.

Monique Cheek and Connor Hanley both had double-digit performances with 13 and 10 poins, respectively. Hanley pulled in a double-double with 10 rebounds while Cheek and Chrineisha Tedder each had nine caroms.

Harford hosts Garrett on Wednesday at 5 p.m.
