Box Score LARGO, Md. - For the second-straight season, the Harford women's basketball team advanced to the MD JUCO Championship with a win over Frederick on Sunday, 72-57. Harford will try for its first conference crown on Monday at 5:30 p.m.

The Fighting Owls jumped out to a 40-24 halftime lead after shooting 48.6 percent from the floor. Harford also outrebounded the taller Cougar squad 50-41 overall.

The nation's leading scorer, Capree Garner, totaled 32 points on 13-of-23 shooting while pulling in a game-high 11 rebounds. Monique Cheek continued her solid conference tourney run with 12 points and five helpers while Ashley Smith added 10 points and six assists.

The Fighting Owls will try for their first conference title on Monday at 5:30 p.m.
