BEL AIR, Md. - The Harford women's basketball team ended the 2014 regular season in style with an 86-42 victory over Northern Virginia on Sophomore Night. Sophomores Capree Garner and Monique Cheek combined to score 38 points in the win.

Garner finished with 26 points on 11-of-18 shooting while Cheek finished her Sophomore Night with 12 points on 6-of-10 shooting to go along with a career-best eight assists. Overall for the Fighting Owls, the team shot 53.6 percent from the floor (37-for-69).

Ashley Smith scored 21 points and Dasha Moore added 12 with five steals.

The Fighting Owls travel to Baltimore City for the 2014 Region XX Championships on Friday at 7 p.m. Harford as fallen twice to the Panthers this season, but the winner of Friday's contest advances to the District Playoffs in New York, while the loser's season comes to an end.
