BEL AIR, Md. - The Harford baseball team (0-5) was swept in its home opener and the first two games of the new Harford Baseball Field by Mercer (2-0). The Fighting Owls managed just six hits in the doubleheader.

The Fighting Owls scratched out four hits in the opening game loss but couldn't manage to get a run across against the Knights.
Mercer scored once in the fourth and added an insurance run in the seventh. Harford freshman
Anthony Atticks pitched six innings and scattered three hits while allowing just one run. He struck out three and walked three in the loss.
CJ Young totaled two of Harford's four hits.

The Fighting Owls scored one run on one hit in the first inning, but the Knights continued to put pressure on the Fighting Owls, scoring three times in the sixth and twice in the seventh for the comeback win.
Harford did not add another hit until the seventh inning, a one-out single by
Gabriel Castillo. After getting hit by a pitch in the first, Young scored on
Craig Joseph's RBI groundout.
Dalton Reed pitched 4.2 innings without allowing a run while allowing four hits. He struck out four and walked a pair.
John Hetterman took the loss, allowing two runs on one hit in 0.1 innings of work.
Harford takes on Camden on Thursday at 2 p.m.
