Box Score BEL AIR, Md. -- Harford pitchers struggled, giving up a season-high 16 hits en route to its first conference loss of the season at the hands of CCBC Dundalk, 14-3.

On a blustery day at Harford Sports Complex, Harford (9-10-1, 3-1 MD JUCO) gave up double-digit runs for the third time this season. They struggled to keep Dundalk off the bases, surrendering hard hit balls and committing errors, five on the day, throughout the game. Of the 13 runs the Lions scored, six were unearned.

For Dundalk (5-14, 1-1 MD JUCO), Joe Boling went the distance on the mound, scattering seven hits and four walks while striking out five. He got into a couple jams throughout the game but was able to keep the Fighting Owl bats at bay for most of his outing.

Harford right hander
AJ Powell, who got the start on the hill for Harford, gave up nine hits in just four innings. He was charged with eight runs with only two being earned. The Lions batters came out very aggressive against Powell, with the first four batters putting the ball in play within the first two pitches of their at-bats.

Cody Brittain had a strong day at the plate, going 3-for-4 with two triples and a 2-run home run. Brittain scored three of Harford's runs in the game.
Brandon Smith who went 1-for-3 with a walk, had the Fighting Owls' only other extra-base hit with a double in the fourth inning.
Justin Malehorn picked up an RBI on a sacrifice fly in the second inning.

Harford will be back in action on Sunday when they host Montgomery for a doubleheader. Game one is scheduled to begin at noon.
