BEL AIR, Md. - The Harford baseball team earned a Saturday split at home against Jefferson. The Fighting Owls won the opener, 10-5, and fell in game two, 8-1.

The Fighting Owls jumped out to a 5-0 lead in the first inning behind a pair of home runs by
Tyler Napierala and
Daulton Weeks. Napierala led off the inning with a shot off the left field foul pole for the first home run ever hit in the new ball park. Weeks slugged an opposite-field three-run homer to right center.
AJ Powell took a no-hitter into the fourth inning, but the Cannoneers sent 10 batters to the plate to flip the script and knot the game at 5-5.
Harford then went to small ball to earn the win. Napierala gave Harford the lead in the bottom of the fourth with a sacrifice fly. Weeks laid down a pair of bunt singles after his home run.
Justin Malehorn doubled in a pair in the fifth to put the game out of reach.
Powell earned his first win and
John Hetterman collected the save.
Jefferson 8, Harford 1
JCC's Kyle Simmons carried a no-hitter into the sixth inning before Napierala singled through the left side. The Cannoneers were winning 8-0 at the time and cruised behind their ace.
Nick Economos struggled and couldn't get out of the second inning.
The Fighting Owls take on Burlington for a pair on Tuesday at 3:30 p.m.
