Softball Tripped Up At Burlington, 5-1

Box Score PEMBERTON, N.J. - The Harford softball team (9-14) dropped its third-straight game with a 5-1 loss at Burlington (10-15) on Sunday. The Fighting Owls mustered just one unearned run after trailing 5-0 in the single-game loss.

The Fighting Owls struck out 13 times in 24 at bats, as Baron pitcher Kelly Tohill kept the squad at bay. Sam Day walked, stole second and scored on an error during Britney Fleming's at bat. Madison Smith, Fabiana Della-Monica, Veliza West and Madison Ferrara each collected hits, as Ferrara's was a double.

Sam Sullivan allowed five runs on five hits while walking five in the loss.

Fourteen consecutive MD JUCO games are on tap for the Fighting Owls, starting with eight-straight at home. Harford welcomes Allegany for a pair on Tuesday at 3 p.m.
