Box Score 2 BEL AIR, Md. - The Harford softball team (10-17, 8-6 MD JUCO) was swept at home on Sophomore Day by Chesapeake (22-3, 13-1 MD JUCO) on Saturday. The Fighting Owls fell 11-3 and 12-4.
Abby Young and Sam Sullivan were honored on Sophomore Day for their two year stint with Harford. Young went 1-for-5 with an RBI and a pair of walks and Sullivan collected an RBI double but took the loss in game one.
Fabiana Della-Monica went 3-for-3 in game one and added a triple in game two.
Tori Brooks had a double in game one and
Madison Ferrara went 2-for-3 in the nightcap with a double.
The Fighting Owls have 10 MD JUCO games reamining, including four more at home. They host Montgomery on Monday and Allegany next Monday with both doubleheaders starting at 3 p.m. Harford is three wins away from tying the school record for most overall wins (13) and most conference wins (11).
