Box Score 2 BALTIMORE - The Harford softball team took a 1-0 lead into the final inning against the conference's top team, CCBC Catonsville, on Saturday, facing the conference's top pitcher. The Cardinals, however, escaped unblemished with a walkoff 2-run home run to win, 2-1.
Facing Samantha O'Connor, centerfielder
Abby Young led off the second with a triple and scored on
Madison Ferrara's sacrifice fly to right field. O'Connor tossed a perfect game in her last start, striking out the first 14 batters she faced in the five-inning win. Harford jumped on top early and almost held on for the huge win.
Samantah Sullivan pitched a complete game, holding the Cardinal offense that totaled 59 runs in the previous four games to just two hits through the first six innings. Catonsville ledmoff the bottom of the seventh with a single before Amber Cluster hit the walkoff home run.
CCBC Catonsville won game two 12-4.
