BEL AIR, Md. - The Harford women's basketball team opened the 2015-16 season in a big way, with a 99-40 victory over CCBC Catonsville at the APG Federal Credit Union Arena on Friday afternoon.

Daisa Harris led a plethora of Fighting Owls who made impressive debuts. Harris recorded a double-double with 16 points and 10 assists while collecting six steals and six rebounds. In all, five different newbies reached double figures in the lopsided win, led by
Sheri Addison's 19 markers. Addison was 4-for-7 from behind the arc in just 11 minutes of action off the bench.
Dominique Walker also came off the bench to play solid minutes, recording a double-double with 16 points and 12 caroms.
Jay Green had a dozen points and
Darra Walker scored 10.
Diamond Mickle tallied a game-high 15 rebounds in her debut.
The Fighting Owls were dominant from the tip, never trailing in the opener. Harford outscored the Cardinals 48-6 off turnovers, 62-12 in the paint and 61-3 off the bench.
Harford hosts Penn State-York on Friday at 5:30 p.m.
