BALTIMORE - The Harford men's soccer team came up just short in its efforts for the program's first NJCAA Region XX Championship on Saturday. The Fighting Owls allowed an own goal in the 83rd minute to top-seeded CCBC Essex to fall 1-0.

Justin Almquist played another stellar game in goal, matching his effort at CCBC Essex in the regular season. The Knights scored in the 88th minute to win 1-0 over Harford in the regular season.

This time, the game was scoreless with eight minutes remaining when the Fighting Owls deflected the ball passed a diving Almquist after a flurry in front. Almquist finished the game with six saves.

The loss ends the Fighting Owls season at 10-6-2, marking the fifth double-digit win total in six years for head coach Jason Muffoletto.
