Box Score SUPPLY, N.C. - The Harford women's basketball team (10-2) stumbled through a poor shooting performance in a 70-67 loss to No. 18 Cape Fear on Thursday in day two of the Brunswick Holiday Tournament. The Fighting Owls shot 23.5 percent (20-for-85) in the loss, their lowest percentage of the season by a wide margin.
Darra Walker was the lone bright spot for Harford, netting a career-high 24 points on nine made field goals. The rest of the team shot 11-for-67 from the floor and 2-for-16 from behind the arc.
Daisa Harris tallied nine points and
Janessa Fauntroy added eight points and eight rebounds.
Diamond Mickle came off the bench to grab 14 rebounds but shot 0-for-7 from the floor.
Mia Fitts suffered her worst shooting day in a Harford uniform, but still managed to score 14 points, shooting 7-of-8 from the line, but just 2-of-20 from the floor.
Their terrific trio of guards (Walker, Fitts & Harris) combined to shoot 14-for-46 (30.4 percent) in defeat. Prior to the loss, they shot 46.0 percent from the floor in 11 games.
The Fighting Owls finish up the tourney with a noon match against Guiford Tech on Friday.?
