Box Score 2 BEL AIR, Md. - Harford completed a seven day, 12 game stretch of baseball with a doubleheader sweep of the College of Southern Maryland. Harford (12-4, 3-0 MD JUCO) slugged six home runs on their way to a pair of 10-run rule shortened wins, 13-3 and 16-6 respectively.

Harford 13, Southern Maryland 3The Fighting Owls were held off the board in the first inning but proceeded to put up crooked numbers in the next four frames, overwhelming Southern Maryland (0-4, 0-2 MD JUCO) pitchers as it was more of the same from arguably the hottest offense in the nation. Harford currently leads the nation in batting average, on-base percentage and slugging.

Tanner Forry was a standout in the heart of the order for the Fighting Owls, going three-for-three with a homer (2) and three runs batted in. He also drew a walk, stole a base and scored three runs.
Brandon Smith had a similar stat line in the contest, going three-for-four with two runs batted in, two runs scored and a stolen base. Chase Demars went two-for-three with a double, three runs batted in and three runs scored.

Dalton Reed (3-0) picked up his third win in as many starts, surrendering three runs (two earned) over 3 2/3 innings pitched. He struggled with his command, allowing six walks but only allowed two hits.
Michael Hanafin came on in relief to pitch 1 1/3 innings, giving up one hit and striking out one.

Harford 16, Southern Maryland 6Dominic DiSabatino set the tone for the Fighting Owls in the nightcap, clubbing two of Harford's five round-trippers in his first two at-bats. He hit a two-run shot over the monster in left in the first inning and went back to the well in the third with a solo blast, his third of the season. He went two-for-two on day with a walk and three runs scored.

Harford also got home runs from
Brett Hash (5),
John Mastrangelo (3) and
Gilbert Peralta (1). DiSabatino, Hash, Mastrangelo and
Anthony Governale drove in three runs each, displaying the balance of Harford's prolific offense.

Hash finished off a week in which he made a strong case for NJCAA Player of the Week, hitting his fifth home run of the week, a towering three-run shot. The cleanup hitting first baseman hit a triple in game one of the day, also his fifth of the week. He drove in four runs on the day, giving him 28 runs batted in in the week.

James English (2-0) started on the hill for the Fighting Owls. He struck out nine Hawks hitters over five innings, allowing three runs on two hits and three walks.

Harford will be off for two days before they continue their 16-game home stand on Tuesday against Prince George's. First pitch is scheduled for 3 p.m.
