Box Score 1 BEL AIR, Md. - The Harford softball team (6-1) continued its hot start to the 2015 season, tallying 21 hits in a 17-0 defeat of Union County (0-4). The UCC Owls forfeited the second contest.

Freshman Desi Joines allowed just one fifth-inning bloop single in the blowout victory to improve to 3-1 on the season. She struck out nine and walked just one in the win.

Her battery mate Mackenzie Fitzgerald hightlighted the offensive output with her third home run of the season, a laser over the left-field wall. Ten Fighting Owls collected hits in the win as Joines, Tori Brooks and Lindsey Fenner all collected three hits.

The Fighting Owls host Anne Arundel on Friday.
