Box Score 2 WINTERVILLE, N.C. - The most successful softball season in Harford history came to an end on Saturday in the NJCAA Region X Championships. The Fighting Owls were eliminated, bringing their school-record season to an end with a record of 29-11.
Harford opened the day with a loss to top-seeded and 14th-ranked Spartanburg Methodist, 10-0. Facing No. 6 USC Sumter in an elimination game, Harford allowed three unearned runs in a 4-3 loss.
Lindsey Fenner laced a sinlge in the fourth inning for Harford's lone hit in the opener. She followed that up with a 2-for-3 performance against the Fire Ants with a game-tying two-run home run in the second inning.
The Fighting Owls finished the season winning its first outright MD JUCO Championship and almost doubled last season's win total with 29.
