Box Score 2 ABERDEEN, Md. - The Harford softball team (18-5) dropped a pair of non-conference tilts to Delaware Tech (16-1) at Cal Ripken Baseball Complex on a rainy Wednesday. The Fighting Owls dropped game one, 9-0, and the nightcap, 11-0.
Desi Joines (10-2) took the loss in the opener, allowing a season-high nine runs on nine hits. She struck out a season-low two batters, walked a pair and saw her earned-run average raise to 1.68 with seven earned runs charged against her. Joines also collected two of the three hits allowed by Roadrunner ace Mykala Steele, who improved to 10-0 with the win.
In game two, Del Tech totaled 13 hits en route to the shortened victory.
Katie Shultz (6-3) took the loss for the Fighting Owls.
Harford hosts Burlington on Friday at 1 p.m.
