KEYSER, W.Va. - The 2015 Harford baseball season came to an end in the Region XX Championship Game on Sunday. The Fighting Owls (43-15) lost 11-0 to the host Catamounts of Potomac State.

Dalton Westfall and the Catamounts avenged last season's Championship Sunday collapse, shutting out the top-scoring offense in the nation. Westfall struck out nine batters, seven looking, in seven innings. He worked in and out of trouble all day, but Harford only had one runner reach third base on the afternoon.

Harford collected eight hits on the day, with Ben Bomberger picking up two. Brett Hash finished the four-game tourney with 10 hits and five doubles, to lead four Fighting Owls on the All-Tournament Team. Jamal Clarke, Jack Hamner and Josh Silvestri also were honored for their strong tournaments.

The Fighting Owls won 43 games in 2015, the third most in school history. The 2012 team won 45 games and the 2011 team won 44. The 2015 squad won the MD JUCO Regular Season Championship with a 24-2 record, the best conference record in school history. This year's team also finished the season ranked No. 1 in the nation in batting average (.384), on-base percentage (.491), slugging percentage (.665), runs scored (614), doubles (164) and walks (328). Harford ranks third with 38 triples and fourth with 80 home runs. The sophomore class won a combined 73 games, the 2014 Region XX Championship and the 2015 MD JUCO Championship.
