  • The Short Story: Shianne Georgantakis scored an amazing hat trick to lead the Fighting Owls in a rout against the Rowan College at Gloucester County Roadrunners 7-1.

HOW IT HAPPENED
  • Emily Raulie scored just three minutes into the game as she was able to get on the end of a Grace Humes cross
  • Shianne Georgantakis hit an incredible 30 yard free kick into the net that brought about a huge roar from the crowd. Georgantakis later scored two more times in the game including a goal with just three seconds left in the first half. 
  • Jenna Staton continued to produce goals for the Fighting Owls as she scored two on the day, assisted by Mackenzie Wills and Abbie Springer.
  • Ciara Harbaugh took advantage of the space she was provided on the right wing as her cross found Briana Stabile for yet another Fighting Owls goal. 
  • Kristan Shock was just nine minutes away from her 4th shutout of the season before the Roadrunners were able to get one by her.
GAME NOTES
  • Georgantakis scored the first hat trick of her collegiate career in the game. She now has 5 goals in the last two games.
  • Staton's two goals moved her up to 8 on the season as she is now 5th in the conference.
  • Alexandria Adams continues to be aggressive as she is now 3rd in the conference with 35 shots despite playing a significant amount of time on the defensive line.
UP NEXT
  • Harford will host Cecil for a conference showdown on Friday, October 7th at 3 PM.
  • Cecil is currently 0-6 on the season and 0-4 in MD Juco conference play.
