Women Trump ASA Again, Claim Crown

Box Score
BROOKLYN, N.Y. - The Harford women's basketball team won the 2016 NJCAA District III Championship by defeating ASA on Friday night, 64-59. The Fighting Owls never trailed in winning their school-record 27th game and officially punching their ticket to the NJCAA National Tournament.

Freshman Daisa Harris netted 25 points and was the best player on the floor again while sophomore guards Mia Fitts and Darra Walker both chipped in with 13 points.

The Fighting Owls had never beaten the Avengers prior to this season, and Friday's contest marker the second consecutive win over Harford's previous arch nemesis.

Head coach Mike Seney and the Fighting Owls will find out their seed for the NJCAA Tournament in Lubbock, Texas on Monday afternoon.
