ARUNDEL, Md. - The Harford baseball team improved to 13-1 in MD JUCO play with a 9-5 road win at Anne Arundel on Wednesday. The Fighting Owls jumped out to an 8-0 lead and held on for the victory.

Three more home runs for the high-powered offense that has produced 66 home runs in 34 games, a total that ranks fourth in the nation. Luke Johnson put Harford on the board with a two-run shot in the second inning, continuing his recent hot streak. With a 3-0 lead in the third, Daulton Weeks and Joe Burton hit back-to-back homers.

For Weeks, it was his 16th home run of his career, becoming the second Fighting Owl to tie the Harford career home run record this week. Dominic DiSabatino's longball against Garrett on Sunday also tied the mark, set by Christian Wolfe in 2009-10.

Johnson went 3-for-4 with three RBIs and DiSabatino went 2-for-3 with three runs scored as the Fighting Owls recorded 12 hits, the 17th time this year with double-digit hits. The victory was Harford's 20th in its last 21 contests.

Anthony Apreda allowed just one hit through the first four shutout innings but struggled with his command in the fifth, and couldn't make it out of the inning. He walked three in the frame and all three came around to score, but the righthander allowed just one hit in the start. Tre Wilson came in relief and earned the win. 

The Fighting Owls host CCBC Catonsville on Thursday at 6:30 p.m.
