Box Score SEWELL, N.J. – The No. 15 Harford baseball team had their 11-game win streak snapped as they fell to No. 1 Rowan-Gloucester, 8-2 Thursday.
 
The Fighting Owls (44-9) fell behind 1-0 in the first inning but came back to take the lead in the second thanks to back-to-back solo home runs by Joe Burton and JP Vail. Burton hit a 2-2 pitch over the left field fence on a rope for his 13^th homer of the season. Vail followed with a moon shot to right field for his ninth round-tripper of the season. The back-to-back jacks were homers number 100 and 101 on the season for the Fighting Owls.
 
Rowan-Gloucester (35-12) put a pair of three-spots on the board in the fourth and fifth innings to take a 7-2 lead on Harford. They added another in the seventh inning to go up 8-2. Harford was unable to respond offensively as the Roadrunners pitching was stellar. Relief pitcher Dale Masterson was dominant, striking out six Fighting Owl hitters and allowing just one hit over three innings.
 
Anthony Apreda (3-2) made the start for Harford and took the loss. He gave up six runs, three of which were earned over 4 1/3 innings. He gave up seven hits and two walks while striking out four.
 
Burton went 2-for-3 with a walk at the plate. Vail and Dominic DiSabatino both went 2-for-4 on the day.
 
Harford will host CCBC-Catonsville in a non-conference matchup on Saturday with first pitch scheduled for 1 p.m.
