Bel Air, Md. - With the Fighting Owls men's and women's basketball team each winning their Region 20 championships, Harford will now play host to a pair of district championship games with national tournament bids on the line. Both teams will face Monroe College out of New York City with the women playing at 5:30 PM and the men at 8:00 PM on Friday, March 10.

The Fighting Owls women are 28-2 on the season with their only two losses coming against top five nationally ranked teams in a weekend trip to Florida in mid-December. With Harford on a 15 game winning streak and ranked #11 in the NJCAA Division I poll, nothing less then a return to Lubbock, Texas will do for the team that has already won regular season and postseason conference titles in addition to the regional championship. In the District C championship game, Harford will face a Mustangs team for the third time with both of the regular season games resulting in Fighting Owl victories. Monroe finished the season 20-6 and defeated ASA in the Region 15 championship game to advance to the district finals.

On the men's side, Harford will take on the Monroe Mustangs in the District 3 championship game with a trip to Hutchinson, Kansas up for grabs. Monroe hosted the Fighting Owls earlier this season in a close 69-62 Mustangs victory. This time around the game will be at the APG Federal Credit Union where the Fighting Owls are a perfect 17-0 this season.
