HOW IT HAPPENED
  • The Prince George's Owls came into the game ranked #6 in the NJCAA DIII preseason poll and defeated the fifth ranked Nassau Lions in their season opener.
  • Hosting their first contest of the season, Prince George's jumped out to an early lead as sophomore Edwin Claros scored his third goal of the season.
  • Harford responded just four minutes later as Christopher Wright, playing in his season debut, was fouled just outside of the box.
  • Antonio Savi continued his incredible goal scoring streak as he nailed the ensuing free kick into the top corner of the net to tie the game at 1-1.
  • A well timed lightning strike forced the teams into an extended half time, but play resumed after a short delay.
  • The Prince George's Owls had the better of the second half, scoring the game winner in the 67th minute and an insurance goal in the 82nd minute to put the game away.
