  • The Short Story: The Fighting Owls scored 42 points in the first quarter and 76 in the first half in a well rounded domination over Allegany as they continue to stay undefeated in conference play.

 HOW IT HAPPENED
  • The Fighting Owls scored 42 points in the first quarter thanks in large part to a 22-2 run with Elaija DeMeza scoring 15 first quarter points on her way to a career high 23 points and seven assists.
  • Harford was comfortably ahead 76-29 at halftime with the ladies in blue shooting 68% from the field in the opening 20 minutes of the contest.
  • The second half mellowed the pace down considerably with Harford continuing to show great offensive efficiency, closing out the game shooting 59% with 70 points scored in the paint.
  • Joy Morton picked up an unconventional double-double with 12 assists and 11 rebounds while Shantel McCray-Cheeks was a couple points short of a double-double thanks to 11 rebounds.
  • Six Harford players scored in double figures with Adrienne Jones scoring 17 in just 11 minutes of play while Ryan Holder added 17 points and six steals to the cause.
  • Alexis Moore scored a career high 15 points with seven rebounds while Janiece Loney scored 12 points and Destinee McQueen added 11.
 
UP NEXT
  • Harford will return home to take on a crucial conference match in Montgomery on Wednesday, January 17 at 5 PM.
  • The Montgomery Raptors are 13-4 on the season and 5-1 in conference play with the lone loss coming against Baltimore City. Montgomery is one of three teams that sit just behind the Fighting Owls with one conference loss along with Hagerstown and Baltimore City.
