New Rochelle, N.Y. – Harford's defense was on full display against Monroe College-Bronx Friday night, as the #22 Fighting Owls defeated the Express 99-29 to remain undefeated.
Harford is now 11-0 with the win, while MCBE drops to 5-9.
Turning Point
The Fighting Owls neutralized the Express' offense from the opening tip, tallying 15 steals while allowing just eight points on 3-of-9 shooting from the field in the first quarter. Harford stuck to the same formula the rest of the way, holding MCBE to nine points or less in the final three quarters piling up 25 additional steals to set a new season-high of 40 takeaways.
