  • The Short Story: The Fighting Owls cruised in their first game of a tough stretch where they will play three games in four days and potentially play six games in nine days. Harford picked up their 20th win of the season to mark the sixth consecutive season of winning 20 or more games.

 HOW IT HAPPENED
  • After a slow start to the game, Harford picked up the pace as they closed out the first quarter on a 17-0 run and led by 20 after the opening stanza.
  • Harford took their pedal off the gas towards the end, but continued to play tough defense allowing just 10 points in each of the third and fourth quarters.
  • Harford had a quintuplet of double digit scorers led by Adrienne Jones with 18 including five makes from long range.
  • Destinee McQueen pulled down another double-double with 15 points and 10 rebounds while Elaija DeMeza fell just short of that feat with 13 points and eight rebounds.
  • Tianna Swearinger scored 14 with Janiece Loney adding 10 while Shawnkia McCallum scored nine points with 12 assists on the day.
UP NEXT
  • Part two of the marathon week will see Harford travel to Lackawanna College in Scranton, Pa. on Monday, February 12 for a 6 PM game.
  • The Lackawanna Falcons are 21-3 on the year with their only losses coming to Union County, Monroe College and ASA.
