HOW IT HAPPENED.
  • Harford gave up the first goal to Essex just over a minute into the game, but Harford responded by scoring 11 of the next 12 goals to put the game out of reach for the Knights in the first half.
  • Essex and Harford exchanged goals back and forth to start the second half, but once again the Fighting Owls found their rhythm as they went on to score nine of the last 10 goals in the contest.
  • Harford saw nine different goal scorers in the contest including Toni Grad, Cidney Gray and Kiley Hartsell all scoring their first goals of the season.
  • Kelsie Davis had a breakout game with five goals and a couple assists while Rachel Wilson had five goals along with eight important draw controls.
  • Courtney Poole continued her hot streak with eight points (four goals, four assists) with Bethany Bishop adding three goals and three assists.
  • Nina Urban added a goal and three assists, but her game leading nine draw controls proved to be a difference maker for Harford.
  • Once again the Fighting Owls defense was fantastic, with Gray adding to her already impressive defensive numbers with six ground balls and five caused turnovers leading a defense that forced 14 Essex turnovers.
  • Goalkeeper Brooke Siebert continues to show improvement in every successive game, racking up a career high 12 saves in the game.

  • Harford will continue their stretch of conference opponents as they host Southern Maryland on Tuesday, April 3 at 5 PM.
