Harford Drops Two At Cecil

The Short Story: Harford faced off against the Seahawks in a doubleheader on Tuesday, falling to Cecil in both games. Cecil walked off with a 4-3 win in game one, with Harford's comeback attempt in the seventh falling short in a 12-8 loss in game two.

How It Happened
Game 1

Despite the wind and snow blowing around early on, the Fighting Owls would battle through to take a 3-0 in the top of the first.
Cecil waited until the bottom of the fourth to respond, scoring three runs in the inning until Alexis Mack's diving catch in right field ended the rally.
With extra innings looming the Seahawks would manage to get a runner on with one out. Rachel Durham's RBI-double two batters later brought home the runner to give Cecil a 4-3 walk-off win.

Game 2

Cecil led 2-1 after the first inning, but an RBI-single from Caroline Frank and Erica James three-run blast put Harford ahead 5-2 in the third.
The Seahawks would hold a 12-5 lead heading to the seventh after scoring six runs in the third, three in the fifth and one in the sixth.
Alexis Mack's three-run home run in the bottom of the seventh fired up the Harford bench, but Cecil ended the rally two batters later to pick up a 12-8 victory.

UP NEXT

Harford remains on the road for a doubleheader against Catonsville on Wednesday, April 18 at 3 PM.
The Cardinals are 22-8 on the season and 12-2 in Md Juco play. They currently sit second in the standings.
