Lakeland, Ohio. - The Fighting Owls picked up their first win of the season Sunday, defeating the Lakeland Lakers 2-0.
Despite outshooting the Lakers 9-3 in the first 45 minutes the game remained scoreless at the half. Fighting Owls' midfielder Michael Eufemia would end the drought, coming off the bench in the second half to score his second goal of the season for a 1-0 lead. Illario Ercole doubled Harford's total 10 minutes later, with the Fighting Owls defense locking down the Lakers the rest of the way.
Harford improves to 1-8 on the season while Lakeland drops to 2-3-2.
